Make My Monday!

The Beadin' Path sent me some....River Rock Beads! They are huge nuggets of recycled glass! Quite gorgeous in a mythological way! And a challenge to a fresh faced designer like myself! I try not to look at what everybody else has made with similar materials before I add my two cents....or, in this case, a quarter!

 

I have a crazy design in mind that I will get started on today! It involves thinking outside the rocks. Hee hee.

Make It Mondays Dog and Cat Challenge

Aries and Noke love each other. Of course, I have Bobby, Tech and sundry other cat and dog photos to play with. Let's call The Tiger and The Wolf the first in a series....

Aren't they sweet? They don't know that cats and dogs don't get along!

I've Picniked this photo. (Careful, it's addictive!) I think that rendering them in pencil equalizes them visually and just looks really, really neat. In colour, my pusscat is a lilac point Siamese...whites and mauves and blue eyes, while Nokey Dog is sable, black and white and brown eyed. I like how removing the colours brings out their faces while sort of blending the two of them together in a lovey-dovey way.

Yay! One down and what, 3 more to go?

Navel Gazing

Here's my entry for last Monday's Make It Monday challenge. I made this digital college at www.picnik.com. The individual photos had already been fooled around with so I just had to drop them in the template and tweek. I like the Poloroid effect! And the 'handwriting'.
